What’s your style of sake?

What’s in the June 2020 Box?

Now available! The June box features the following sake: Aiyu “Dry” with fresh, juicy flavor and smooth finish; Kinoene “Migaki Hachiwari” with an emboldened rice flavor and a beefier umami; and Kinoene “Junmai Ginjo” with hints of freshly sliced apple and a crisp finish.

Aiyu “Dry”

Ginjo

The founder of the brewery that produces Aiyu “Dry” wanted to bring people together with the spirit of sake. Aiyu “Dry” does just that with its fresh, juicy flavor and smooth finish your friends are bound to enjoy. Enjoy the strong umami that comes from locally sourced rice in Itako, Ibaraki by pairing this sake with savory dishes. And don’t forget to honor the founder’s wishes and share this sake with old and new friends.

Kinoene “Migaki Hachiwari”

Junmai

This sake was brewed with local flavor in mind. The brewers use Fusakogane rice right from the local Chiba Prefecture, but they are sure to polish a little less than normal, which emboldens the rice flavor and makes for a beefier umami. This spirited brew has taken home a gold medal in the 2016 Kan Sake Award (budget warm category) and the 2018 Kan Sake Award (budget hot category).

Kinoene “Junmai Ginjo”

Ginjo

This clean-cut junmai ginjo comes from Iinuma Honke, a brewery with over 300 years of sake-making history. Times have changed but one thing is certain: they still make exquisite sake. Kinoene “Junmai Ginjo” was a grand gold medalist in the main category at the Fine Sake Awards Japan 2019. The sake itself is bursting with enticing aroma and pristine flavor with hints of freshly sliced apple and a crisp finish.
