Due to the surge of online shopping this winter 2021, delivery services will be challenged to keep up with a large number of shipments during the holiday season. Tippsy ships to most states in the USA. Due to complex alcohol regulations and our capacity as a startup, we are currently unable to ship to Alaska, Alabama, Arkansas, Michigan, Mississippi, Utah and South Dakota. There are some areas of Illinois, Oklahoma and Texas that our third-party carriers may not service. We are working to expand and cover more areas going forward.
Most orders are processed and shipped in 2–3 business days, depending on product availability. Shipping to the West Coast including Hawaii takes approximately 2–3 business days and 5–6 business days to the East Coast. Texas, Oklahoma, New Jersey and Illinois will take an additional week as we have to move inventory before shipping to those states. You will receive a notification and tracking number once your order has been shipped.Please note that orders shipping to non-major centers or remote locations may take an additional 5–6 business days. Additionally, sake shipments during the summer months may take up to one extra week to be shipped in temperature-controlled trucks.
Your first Sake Box will be shipped immediately after your order is processed, and your seasonal subscription will start with sake from the next scheduled box which is shipped in March, June, September and December.If you received your first Sake Box in the month immediately prior to a shipping month, you will receive your next box in the following season to avoid receiving boxes in two consecutive months.
We’re pleased to offer free shipping on all orders for Sake Club members (shipments for Hawaii excluded). Member free shipping will expire upon cancellation of membership. For non-members, free shipping is available for any purchase of six or more items. A $14.99 shipping fee will apply to other orders. During the summer months (July–September), we ship all our orders with extra care and transport them into logistic hubs nationwide by temperature-controlled trucks to avoid cross-country ground shipping by the carriers. It requires an additional week to our regular 7–14 day lead time unless you are in California, Nevada, Arizona, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming and Colorado.
Due to alcohol content, an individual at least 21 years old must be available to sign for each package and must be present — it is alcohol, after all! This is a legal requirement. Carriers won’t be able to complete the delivery without it.
Since it’s a legal requirement that an individual at least 21 years old must be present to sign for the package (due to alcohol content), we recommend using business addresses or UPS Office locations for your convenience. Of course, your home address is fine, too — just be sure someone legal is there to receive the package.
Don’t worry if your package is on the way. Since final delivery is through UPS, you can complete these steps to make different arrangements for pick-up:

We use UPS for most of the states except for a few. We are using FedEx for shipments to Maryland and Vermont, UDS to Illinois, and LSO to Oklahoma and Texas.
With the help of our shipping partner’s extensive network, we maintain the quality of sake as it makes its way throughout the United States. Extra precautions are taken for severe weather conditions.
