Shizuoka prefecture
This is a seasonal release that’s part of Wakatake’s “Oniotome” series. The name “Oniotome” means “demon maiden,” hence the artistic rendition of a maiden on the bottle by Namiko Sonobe. Despite the name, you’ll find this sake much more pleasant than any demon. It’s light and smooth with mild fruit flavors and a touch of acidity. Its alluring charm pairs wonderfully with creamy sauce-based dishes and cooked vegetables.
