Produced in the remote but artisanal town of Wajima, a town famous for amazing lacquerware. The same spirit of crafting with excellence extends to this sake. Created by a husband and wife team with great faith in each other (hence the name), this sake is elegant and balanced. A bouquet of toasted rice flows into a flavor array of caramel, woodiness and soft umami. A testament to what faith can create.
Hakuto is made in Ishikawa prefecture in the Hokuriku region.

Founded in 1722, this brewery is very much a family business in every sense. The heads are a husband and wife, Kiichi and Akiko Hakuto, who met at Tokyo University of Agriculture, Department of Fermentation Science. Kiichi is the ninth generation of his family to carry on the brewing tradition and Akiko shares his love of sake. Together they brew, manage and promote their sake, and their home is even connected to the brewery. Now that is dedication! If you walk into their store you are sure to find other family members attending to customers and sharing Hakuto sake with the world.
