Beautifully calm and brisk, like a snowy basin

This pure rice Ginjo is distilled with water that started as snow in the mountains around the brewery, and, over many years, melted, then filtered through the earth. This gives the sake a pure, refreshing taste, but enough transparency for you to notice the nuanced smoothness. Let the flavor whisk you away to the beautiful slopes of snowy mountains.

Ippongi Kubohonten

Ippongi Kubohonten

Fukui Prefecture

The name of the brewery "Ippongi" comes from Zen language meaning "supreme truth, a state that achieves the greatest knowledge". The history of the brewery goes back to 1902. It is located in Fukui prefecture beneath the Mt Haku, the best location for sake brewing with clean water and beautiful rice fields. Their famous "Denshin" brand is brewed differently with seasonality. It literally means "heart-to-heart" because the brewers believe that people may be able to communicate but not easily by heart. They want "Denshin" to be droplets of magic that acts as liaison.
