Dassai “45”

Yamaguchi Prefecture

The brand that put "premium" on the map

The Asahi Shuzo brewery took a gamble when it restructured to focus solely on Junmai Daiginjo sake, but the gamble paid off and brought us this delightful sake. Thanks to them you can now try high quality sake at a reasonable price. Dassai “45” is the better version of the popular Dassai “50” which used to be known for its premium quality. With engaging flavors and easy pair-ability its no wonder that this sake is popular in Japan and the U.S. The fragrance puts a smile on your face, but the flavor will have you beaming from ear to ear.

Asahi Brewing Company (Dassai)

Asahi Brewing Company (Dassai)

Yamaguchi Prefecture

Asahi Shuzo Co., Ltd. (Dassai) Yamaguchi Prefecture An almost-bankrupt small brewery with 200-year history with declining sales abandons mass-produced brand "Asahi Fuji" and re-focus all its company-resources to create the best “Daiginjo” grade sake. Dassai brand achieved the highest milling rate of rice and rebuilt the perception for sake both in Japan and in the world. They reinvented the traditional sake-making and started year-round production in an effort to provide freshest sake possible to consumers. The aromatic notes and delicate flavors of Dassai are what made a use of wine glass common for drinking sake.
