Champagne’s arch enemy

In preparation for the Tokyo Olympics in 2021, Hakkaisan Brewing Company came out with Hakkaisan Clear Sparkling “AWA” specifically as a replacement for champagne. This sake is light, clear and, of course, bubbly. A secondary in-bottle fermentation adds to the effervescence which gently drops sweet, fruit flavor over your palate. We’re excited to open a bottle for the Olympics torch ceremony. In the meantime, Hakkaisan Clear Sparkling “AWA” can make any occasion a celebration. Who needs champagne anyway? Hakkaisan Clear Sparkling “AWA” is made using a secondary in-bottle fermentation to create a clear and elegant sake. It has a lovely fruity aroma and refreshing taste that is rounded out a gentle sweetness and crisp finish. Hakkaisan Sparkling “AWA” is the perfect sake to toast any occasion.
