Aiyu Brewing Company

Ibaraki Prefecture

"Aiyu" literally means "love and friendship". The company was founded in 1804 at the end of the Edo period and built around the founder's passion to make sake that helps cultivate friendships. The city of Itako used to be a gateway port between the Northeastern Japan and Edo. There are abundant water and nature. At the full bloom of Iris flowers in June, it is the busiest with tourist all over Japan.
