Umami-rich, dried seafood pairs well with kimoto sake. For sake ware, we recommend cups or tools that can be for warmed or chilled sake.

Founded in 1858, Kurosawa Brewing Company has access to two underground wells fed by the Chikuma River. This water is soft and tasty, so much so that Kurosawa uses it for both brewing and to sell as mineral water. The brewers focus on the traditional kimoto method of brewing. They use this labor-intensive process to produce 60% of their sake. Despite the additional work and added time, Kurosawa finds this method their preferred way to get deep, full-bodied sake with rich flavor. Their sake is now being exported to the U.S., Germany, Australia, Malaysia and other countries!
Kurosawa くろさわ is a great, salaryman サラリーマンの酒 brew. Not fancy, not expensive, not a wimpy brew. Great with food and friends. This is the real taste of a working man’s true junmai 純米酒. Get it. Go for it. Get happy!
This was an excellent complex sake for its price point. I enjoyed it cold. It has a good balance of full flavor with the notes of vegetalness and some minerality in excellent balance. Paired with food as well as being enjoyable on its own
Very nice and smooth sake. This is one of my favorites.
Really smooth. Really good to have Sapporo on the side.
good starter sake
I love this sake. Smooth and rich, I enjoy it with fish, cheese, and dark chocolate.
A good dry sake-but a bit more rough/less smooth than others in the same category.
Very bright and clean when cold but as it warms it picks up body and a wonderful fruity, rice quality that I adore. Nicely sweet and pleasant, but still clean and rich. Great QPR.
I love this sake. The flavor is creamy and not sweet, the texture is smooth. I enjoy it alongside sushi, as well as cooked fish, vegetarian pastas, cheeses, and chocolate.
This is my favorite mid-priced sake. Don't let the low price fool you. It has a smooth texture with a light-moderate sweet flavor. I enjoy having it with many types of food or on its own. It pairs wonderfully with a variety of cheeses.
