Kamotsuru's Signature Blend is the original gold-flaked Daiginjo sake. The two edible, gold flake Sakura blossoms in each bottle are meant to represent two cranes who’ve mated for life. The gold isn’t the only thing that sets this sake apart from the rest. From its strawberry, banana nose, to its fresh, tropical flavor, Tokusei Gold brightens the heart. Like taking in a deep breath from the top of Mt. Misen, this brew will help you find your center. Crisp, light, classic

Why not pair a delicate snack with delicate daiginjo sake? For sake ware, we recommend glasses or cups that enhance the sake’s fruity aroma.

Kamo refers to the location, and is also a pun on brewing (“kamosu”). It’s combined with “tsuru” (crane) for good fortune. Kamotsuru was founded in 1873 in Saijo, Hiroshima, which is known as one of the top three locations for great quality sake. Their signature soft water source is from the Kamo Mountains, which has seeped into the ground over time. Their campus is a collection of striking white-walled buildings—a backdrop for movies in the modern day. Currently employing four brewmasters, they are the makers of the first daiginjo sake, and continue to grace us with their classic, elegant creations.
Fun that there's gold flakes in the bottle. Feels special when you get one in your glass. As for the taste of the sake, it's pretty good. Some pretty common flavors. It's a bit less sweet, sort of middle-of-the-road richness. Nothing too exciting, but easy to drink.
I remember having this is Japan for the first time with my mom. After finding it here, it has been a tasty reminder of a fantastic memory. It's like and fruity, and goes down smooth.
It's taste good and I like it very much! The design are also fantastic!
Pairs wonderfully with sushi, fun to have the gold flakes too (there are four of them.) Already bought twice. Complex flavor and depth.
Very good, but not quite what I expected. A little gimmicky with gold leaf in the bottle. Spend a little more time on the sake, not the gold leaf.
Great for beginners and experts alike!
This is a great tasting, sweet sake and like most of the other buyers are saying, the bottle is a sight to behold. Tasted great by itself and mixed with juice!
I am so impressed with this sake bottle is so beautiful and those Sakura gold flakes is just perfect and it taste so good.
Exceeded expectations. Yes, it comes in a gorgeous bottle with gold neck foil and label, and I got _three_ gold flakes--perhaps the cranes had a baby. Definite strawberry nose, perhaps slight pineapple on the back of the tongue. Not too sweet though. Will add to my re-order list.
