Saga prefecture
This delightful creation is brought to you from the land of junmai, the smallest prefecture within Kyushu in the southern part of Japan. With juicy melon on the nose and packed with full, expressive flavor, it’s not like any other junmai, yet with the solid structure that is unmistakingly junmai… once you try it, it’s sure to become one of the staple products you will come back to.

Savory snacks are a classic pairing with genshu (undiluted sake). For sake ware, we recommend simple designs that present the pure quality of sake.

Tenzan Brewing Company was founded in 1875 when a husband and wife team with a flour and noodle business purchased a brewery that was going under. Currently the sixth-generation president Kensuke Shichida constantly challenges them to evolve together with the current trend of sake. That said, their focus from the beginning has been to maximize the quality of their sake using the natural bounty that Ogi city provides. It is really fun to watch their collaboration with the tightknit brewing community, and Shichida’s leadership in Japan — and also internationally — is worthy of note.
Wasn’t crazy about this. Trying to be everything at once and not good at being any one flavor. A general pleasing but not exceptional Sale.
Very good!
I'm not a Sake expert but this was delicious!!!! Very smooth and tasty!
Not sure what to say, as I am no connoisseur and this was actually my first attempt at nice, non-overheated sake! Only thing I can say is how good this is heated up to about 100°F
Perfect combination of fruity and full-bodied with a crisp finish. Love this one.
A full-bodied, fruity, really interesting junmai. With its higher alcohol content and solid mouthfeel, it stood up to, and complemented, kimchi buta. If you're looking for a delicious junmai-shu on the rich side, especially to have with bold meals, this is well worth trying.
This is a hard one to review for me. Overall this is a good sake. It was is quality crafted and easy to recommend to others. But for me, it's lacking "interest".
