WAKAZE “Classic”
France
When France meets sake
This sake embodies the words, “Mastered in Japan, made in France.” That’s right, “Classic” is brewed in France and made from japonica rice grown right in Camargue. This rice, combined with the use of white koji and wine yeast, gives the sake a nice acidity. In fact, this sake tastes a lot like white wine — so much so you might be surprised it was made from rice!

WAKAZE France
WAKAZE was founded in 2016, then went on to open their first in-house brewery in Tokyo in 2018, followed by their KURA GRAND PARIS in 2019. Their Parisian brewery is the largest sake brewery in all of Europe! The company has an experimental mentality focusing on brewing sake for the modern world. Originating from and trained in Japan, their mission is to share their sake with the world. They draw inspiration from French ideals, believing that they should stick to using local French ingredients in all their sake, including mineral-rich, natural French water and japonica rice grown in France.
