Quality sake you can enjoy again and again

The intense blue bottle is easily recognizable, and reminiscent of deep, tropic waters. Once poured, a luscious, mango-pineapple aroma fills your nose, like being on an island full of fruit trees. Allow yourself to melt into the sweetness, which has attracted sommeliers around the globe, and even landed this sake a spot being served at the Nobel Prize banquet dinner. Pour up a cool glass to pair with a creamy dish, or enjoy by itself. With sake of this quality, it can stand alone and still satisfy.

Kobe Shushinkan

Kobe Shushinkan

Hiroshima Prefecture

The Fukuju brewery is situated in the Nada region of Kobe, Japan, near Rokko Mountain, which brings good fortune to their craft of making sake. Extreme temperature swings on the north side of the mountain are ideal for growing sake rice. Cold winds blowing down the south side are perfect to slow the fermentation process, which means better-controlled brewing for richer and smoother taste. Local mountain streams supply naturally pure water “Miyamizu” with just the right mineral content. It is with these basic ingredients that they have been making signature sake for over 200 years. The brewery property includes a courtyard surrounded by the main plant that houses a brewing facility, a Japanese restaurant focusing on fine cuisine complemented by their own fine sake, a shop offering sake and tableware as well as a wooden brewery hall which presents a wide range of entertainment.
