This famous brand, called “Demon Slayer,” tastes nothing like its name, unless you can slay demons with sweetness. It is a clear Junmai Daiginjo with a delicate aroma of ripe fruits, velvety texture, and finishes on a sharp, crisp note. Its elegance makes it stand out as a delightful sake. Warm it up to broaden the already delicious aroma.
Onikoroshi is brewed in Shizuoka Prefecture in the Chubu region.
Omuraya Brewing Company
Omuraya Brewing Company Shizuoka Prefecture The oldest existing brewery in Shizuoka prefecture started in 1832 as a guest house to accommodate travelers from Edo (Tokyo) with sake brewed with water from the beautiful local Ooi river. Omuraya has survived the downturns while all other breweries in Shimada city went bankrupt during the 70s. The 5th generation brewer Jiro Matsunaga supported by the local business community "Wakatake" helped Omuraya come back and release the now-world-famous brand "Onikoroshi" using the recipe passed down from the ancient times.
