Nagano prefecture
Specially brewed in 2007 to honor the 10th Anniversary of Kurosawa Sake's introduction to the U.S, this sake continues on the brewery’s custom of crafting unique sake. A curious buttery undertone rounds out delicate, almost rice-pudding flavor. The effect is accented with a fruitier finish. Even 8 years after it's introduction, the Premium Reserve continues to be a crowd pleaser, and won a gold medal at the 2015 BTI World Wine Championship.
Kurosawa is made in Nagano prefecture in the Chubu region.

Founded in 1858, Kurosawa Brewing Company has access to two underground wells fed by the Chikuma River. This water is soft and tasty, so much so that Kurosawa uses it for both brewing and to sell as mineral water. The brewers focus on the traditional kimoto method of brewing. They use this labor-intensive process to produce 60% of their sake. Despite the additional work and added time, Kurosawa finds this method their preferred way to get deep, full-bodied sake with rich flavor. Their sake is now being exported to the U.S., Germany, Australia, Malaysia and other countries!
