“Retro” belongs to the brewery’s “Edo-gaeri” series, which seeks to return to traditional techniques. At the same time, it embraces Senkin’s signature juiciness. The orthodox kimoto brewing method is used for the starter mash, and the heirloom rice strain Omachi is employed for its distinct sweetness and acidity. Aromas of banana and melon lead to a taste that’s brimming with flavor. Try it alongside stir-fry, or scallops with cream sauce.
