Like a crystalline stream

Brewed with crystalline underground water from the Shogawa River system, one of the five major rivers in the Toyama Prefecture. In combination with the 59% rice polishing rate, this sake embodies elegance delivered with a light body. The mild melon aroma and crisp, dry flavor is best served chilled or at room temperature and pair wonderfully with shabu-shabu or grilled fish dishes, but feel free to experiment.

Tateyama Brewing Company

Tateyama Brewing Company

Toyama Prefecture

Founded in 1830, the brewing company has a tradition of high quality that they have stuck to since its establishment. They’ve found the balance between using hand-prepared and koji-making methods that have been passed down for nearly 200 years and incorporating modernized equipment.
There is an old saying, “Good sake comes from good water,” which the brewers live by and is why they use clean, clear underground water from the Shogawa River system. They continue to live in harmony with nature to preserve the rich, natural environment that is reflected in their sake.
