A touch of hospitality

Made of Japanese cypress, this naturally beautiful “masu” bears the Tippsy logo. Traditionally used to measure rice, it’s also used to drink sake. Pour straight into the cup, or put a glass inside and pour sake so that it overflows into the masu. This is called “mokkiri”; it shows generosity. Enjoy a calm, clean feeling and a forest aroma. Serve friends, family and yourself with a touch of Tippsy hospitality.

Words from an expert

Shape matters for the gesture, aroma and flavor experience for your sake. A cupped shape will enhance the aroma, a flat ware will instill a bowing gesture, and the lip shape will control how the sake hits your palate.
