Shizuoka prefecture
This seasonal release comes in time for “hanami,” or viewing cherry blossoms. The demon maiden on the bottle is a manifestation of the desire to brew innocent sake, but stay vigilant. This brew utilizes local Shizuoka prefecture water, yeast and rice to full effect. The refined temperature control and quick bottling allows this sake to capture a full aroma and flavor. Grab a bottle and go enjoy the springtime flowers!
Wakatake is made in Shizuoka prefecture in the Chubu region.

Wakatake, Wakatake “Onikoroshi,” “Onna Nakase” and “Oniotome” are all brands of Omuraya Brewing Company founded in 1832. This historic brewery is located on the Tokaido Road where merchants and travelers often stayed due to Oi River floods. Using the Minami Alps soft water, they’ve paid particular attention to using quality ingredients, employing their own rice milling machine from three generations ago. Switching to producing all premium sake in 2002 and now in the seventh generation of ownership, they continue to please locals and visitors alike with their long-loved series.
